Kindergarten Pictures...

M got her Kindergarten pictures back today. I think the photographer edited the picture a little to much; but either way she is too darn cute. Notice she is actually smiling.

Fourteen Months...

Where does the time go? Our little boy is now fourteen months old (August 27th), and let me tell you he is ALL BOY! Yes, we have our hands full.

MILESTONES
Size: 18-24months clothes, 6 shoe, 4 diaper
Teeth: 4 top, 3 bottom
Words: Hi and some version of Nellie
Favorite Foods: Strawberries, strawberries, strawberries!
Other Foods: Watermelon, cantalope, cheese, anything potatoe, turkey, chicken, goldfish, cheerios, milk, water

This cute little guy gets into everthing! He uses the dogs as step stools to get things from the counters, tables, on to the sofas. He figured out how to open up the dishwasher and take out knives. He is still a biter and hair puller(poor M). But no matter how much trouble he causes we would not trade him for anything (even M agrees I have it on video)!

Labor Day Fun...

Although the weekend did not start off great, we did salvage what was left of it and had fun with the kids. Sunday afternoon our neighbors called to see if M could come over and slip-n-slide. Well the slip-n-slide turned into washing our cars with the kids help. They had a lot of fun playing with sponges and soap suds, even C had a blast.

M looks so big in this picture, I can't believe she is going to be 5 years old!

The red spot on the side of C's nose is the result of bad rug burn after falling off the sofa. He is such a boy, ugh!!!

Notice C's tongue hanging out as he works. Both my kids do that when they concentrate (total Pa thing!).

M was so excited to drive C around for the first time in the neighbors Barbie Jeep. M's Escalade was charging. He loved riding in the car. We will see how excited M is to drive around her brother when she is 16 and he is 12!

Of course Mike had to bring his toy out to play too! He was getting all his stuff together to go riding with friends on Monday. He gave all 3 girls rides (yes they were wearing helmets). C watched as they would drive away, we assured him that his turn would come in a couple years (right Daddy!).

The night ended with pizza and ice cream cake for dessert. I love spontaneous days, no plans, so stress, just lots of fun. Needless to say, both kids slept like rocks.

So Why Doesn't He Live With Us...

Esie and I were talking and M over heard me say that Uncle Chris was coming to help fix our air conditioner. She asked who he was. Esie told her the Uncle Chris is her godfather and that he in all the pictures with Esie holding her on her baptism day. M said "I remember him, he is my cousin." I said "No, M he is your Daddy's brother, just like Esie is my sister." M then says, "So why doesn't he live with us then." Esie and I just busted up laughing! Funny how their little minds work!

Lighting Strikes...

IMG_8600 Edited Blog

So Friday night we were eating dinner(take out of course, Ray's pizza and wings) and starting our nice long three day Labor Day weekend. There had been a storm going on, they had been happening all week long. All of a sudden there was an extremly loud boom and the doggie door lit up! The power did not flicker and the tv did not go off so no one thought much of it and we have learned over the past few days that M is really afriad of the lighting and thunder, so we just avoided talking about it. While cleaning up after dinner (paper plates in the garbage) I had commented that it was getting warm in the house. Mike checked the thermostat and it was blank, no numbers!! Esie and I went up stairs and noticed that the second floor air was not working either, but the bonus room was. While we were up stairs I noticed that the kids rooms fans and lights were not working. Well it appears that we were hit by lighting or at least our ground was hit by lighting and it messed with our house! Mike contacted everyone he knew and we could not figure out why only the kids rooms were did not have power. Chris talked Mike though fixing the downstairs air conditioner, but had not luck with the upstairs. So Esie, N, M, C, and I slept in the bonus room, one big not so happy slumber party. So Saturday was spent trying to fix the power and air conditioners. By 4pm Saturday, everything was back to normal thanks to friends, family and Mike's hardwork.
